When: Wednesday, June 10, 2009
Where: Cleveland, Ohio, Public Square
Show support of history in Ohio and be a part of history as the first flash mob in Cleveland.
Arrive at Public Square at Noon.
Set cell phone alarm for 12:15pm.
When your alarm goes off, let it beep and drop dead. Sidewalk, bench, wherever.
There will be people in black holding up signs “SAVE OHIO HISTORY”
At 12:20, someone with a bullhorn will speak. At this point, resume normal activities.
Feel free to bring a prop (book, lunch, etc) so that you blend in with the crowd before the flash.
What do we hope to accomplish?
We want the public and the state to know that Ohioans do not want to watch their history die. State funding for things like the Ohio Historical Society are VITAL to a vibrant culture and we want our legislators to put the funding back where it belongs.
